Short Description
For this assignment, I was tasked to make 15-shot images using specific camera shots and a composition story to convey tone and ideas to tell a story.

Summary
I choose to tell a story that is about a pencil and eraser that are out walking and suddenly the eraser falls off the cliff (school material), then the pencil goes down to check on the eraser after the fall, the eraser was not seriously injured so they both walk out into the sunset.

Reflection
The type of shots and arrangement clearly shows what is happening in the story about the pencil and easer. The POV shots and close-ups help to generate suspense and show the different perspective through out the scenes. One of my favorite shots is the close up of the pencils reaction after the eraser falls, as it shows so much emotion. The use of tape and string to hold the eraser and pencil in certain positions is distracting in some shots, I should have tried to edited it out in photoshop to make the scene look more natural. The use of greater heights could show a greater sense of danger, for example, falling off the desk. Using different lighting styles to convey the images emotions offers a better image. For example, a final shot --where the lighting is a bit orange to show the sunset- I should have done something similar in some of the other images. I could have taken it a step further with the erasers head injury, using a partial used eraser to show that the fall had a heavier impact on it other than just some bleeding.
Establishing shot (Extreme Long) ShotThe establishing shot is used to set up where the story will take place, giving a sense of the location and mood before the characters are introduced.

The rule of thirds is used here to show the postion of how near to the edge the characters are. This compositions keeps the audience attention by creating visual tension.
