Possible Film LocationsAn important part of planning for our opening is having a location fits our storyline. Since we are in the suburbs, there are plenty of parks that have parking lots that are usually empty. The location we are looking for is a parking lot that is usually empty, has trees surrounding it creating a dark look, and has plenty of space to create the shots we need.
Location Option #1
The first location we thought of, which we believe is St. Paul’s Church parking lot, is usually empty except on Saturday and Sunday morning, since it’s a church. What's so perfect about it is that there is plenty of space, and the surroundings are these big trees that create a shadow over parts of the parking lot. Another plus it is very close to all of us, making it easy to get to. Although we will most likely film here, we need to check other locations in case there is an event we don't know about that could interfere with our filming.Map image source: Google MapsLocation Option #2The next location we looked at was the parking lot by the baseball fields at Regional Park. This location isn't too bad; the only problem is that it can get filled, depending on whether there are any events or games. The good part of it is that there is plenty of space to film, and the background is filled with trees, which adds to the opening. This is our backup if the first film location doesn't work out due to unexpected events.Location Option #3Another film location very similar to the last one is the parking lot at Tequesta Park by the turf field and baseball fields. This location isn't as good compared to St. Paul’s parking lot. It has the size, and it has trees in the background problem is that it is usually full, which will be a problem, so this will be back up like the other one.Map image source: Google MapsLocation Option #4The last location we look at is the parking in the back of Vista Park by the softball fields. This location isn't the exact match, but it isn't too bad. It doesn't have many trees, and the parking lot is a bit small compared to ST. Paul. Also, this parking lot can get pretty full, depending on whether there are any games. I only want to use this location if the other three wouldn't work, no matter.Map image source: Google MapsFilm LocationFor now, we will be filming at St. Paul’s Church parking lot, as it fits what we are looking for. However, if there is any problem with it while we are filming, we will switch to either Regional or Tequesta, and if we can't do those, we will go to our last resort, Vista.
